Services and Indexing

What we do, how the process runs, and what each medical research index actually means.

Our Services

Publishing assistance across every format

Whatever stage your work is at, there is defined assistance for it.

Research Articles

Writing assistance for original studies based on your own data, structured to the reporting guideline your design requires and formatted for your target journal.

Review Articles

Assistance with narrative and systematic reviews, including a documented search strategy, screening record and synthesis.

Case Reports

Assistance in preparing single and small-series reports to CARE guidelines, with imaging and consent documentation handled correctly.

Meta-Analyses

Methodological and statistical assistance for quantitative synthesis of clinical trial data, including risk-of-bias assessment, forest plots and GRADE certainty ratings.

Theses & Dissertations into Articles

Assistance in restructuring postgraduate or doctoral theses into one or more standalone publishable manuscripts.

Conference Abstracts

Assistance in drafting structured abstracts to conference guidelines, with poster or slide deck design support.

Protocol Papers

Assistance in preparing study protocols to SPIRIT or PRISMA-P guidelines for prospective registration and early publication.

Resubmission Support

Re-formatting, editorial revision and response-letter preparation assistance after rejection, for a new target journal.

The Workflow

How an engagement runs

Every project runs through six defined milestones. You approve each draft before the next begins.

1

Intake & Assessment

We review your data, thesis or draft and confirm whether the study can support publication.

2

Scope & Journal Shortlist

Study type, target index and a shortlist of journals with their indexing verified.

3

Manuscript Development

Writing and statistical assistance to develop the full paper to the target journal's guidelines and relevant reporting standard.

4

Author Review

You review the draft, confirm the interpretation and approve the final text.

5

Submission

Cover letter, portal submission and correspondence with the editorial office.

6

Review & Publication

Reviewer responses prepared with you, through to the published record and DOI.

Understanding Indexing

What each index actually means

The National Medical Commission recognises publications in journals indexed in the databases below. They are not interchangeable, and a journal's own claim about its indexing is not evidence.

1. PubMed and PubMed Central

Operated by the US National Library of Medicine

PubMed is a citation database; PubMed Central (PMC) is a full-text repository maintained by the National Library of Medicine (NLM). A journal being indexed in PubMed, having a PMC deposit arrangement, and simply holding an NLM Catalog record are three distinct statuses, and only the former ensure your article will reliably appear. NLM selection requires a sustained publication history and review of the journal's editorial and ethics policies by the National Library of Medicine.

How to verify: Search the journal in the NLM Catalog and read the "Current Indexing Status" line.

2. Scopus

Operated by Elsevier

The largest abstract and citation database in the biomedical sciences. Titles are assessed by an independent Content Selection and Advisory Board against criteria covering editorial policy, content quality, citation record and publication regularity, and titles that fall below those standards are discontinued.

How to verify: Check the title against the official Scopus source list, not the journal's own website.

3. Web of Science (SCIE)

Operated by Clarivate

The Science Citation Index Expanded is the selective, citation-indexed core of Web of Science. Inclusion is editorially curated and titles are re-evaluated, with removal from the Master Journal List where standards are not maintained.

How to verify: Search the Clarivate Master Journal List.

4. Embase

Operated by Elsevier

A biomedical and pharmacological database with particularly deep coverage of drug, device and conference literature, and broader European and international journal coverage than many alternatives.

How to verify: Check the current Embase journal coverage list published by Elsevier.

5. DOAJ

Directory of Open Access Journals

An independent index of open access journals with published quality criteria: a named editorial board with stated affiliations, at least two independent reviewers per article, transparent licensing and copyright terms, and full disclosure of any author charges.

How to verify: Search the journal on doaj.org and confirm the record is current.
How We Verify

Every journal, checked at source

Before a journal is recommended, we check its indexing on the index's own records and note the date of that check. Indexing is a point-in-time fact, not a permanent property of a journal, so we re-verify on a fixed schedule and tell you if anything changes.

Ethics and Standards

How we work

Authorship

ICMJE criteria applied. The data stays yours. The author is always you. Authorship reflects contribution, not convenience.

Declared assistance

Editorial and statistical assistance is transparently acknowledged in the manuscript.

Editorial Integrity

We work from your actual research data. We do not fabricate data, provide fake peer review, guarantee acceptance, or place papers in predatory journals.

Verified indexing

Every target journal is checked on official indexing master lists before recommendation.
